UC Santa Barbara assistant professors Sagar Vijay(link is external) and Tejaswi Nerella(link is external) have been selected to receive prestigious research fellowships from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation(link is external). Vijay and Nerella, both in the UC Santa Barbara Department of Physics, are among 126 early-career researchers from 54 institutions across the country to receive the award. The two-year, $75,000 fellowships are given annually in recognition of distinguished performance and unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field.
